Serigne Ibrahima Dieye

Born in the suburb of Dakar 1988.

Dieye belongs to the young generation of painters educated at the National School of Arts of Dakar, Senegal. In his works you find signs and animal hybrids. He observes his surrounding and is interested in the chaos that he is exposed to. One could interpret his pictures of the humanized animallike creatures as symbols of the loss of the garden of Eden and the alination of the wild nature.
