Amalie Frederiksen is a Danish curator specialized in public art and community involvement. Her curatorial research is oriented towards an investigation of art’s ability to shape new social constellations within specific contexts, and she is driven by an urge to challenge the barriers between art and everyday life. Currently, she is leading the public art exhibition and campaign #VærkDinVerden, that takes place across 6 cities in Denmark and on social media. The exhibition is initiated by råderum – mobile office of contemporary art, where she has been functioning as a curator since 2014. In Råderum Amalie has organized several exhibitions and projects, among them: CROSS_CUTS (2016), ART LAB (2015) and PLACEMAKING (2014). Amalie holds an MA in Art History and Modern Culture from Copenhagen and Sydney, 2012.
